The Symphony of Love

"Love" is the ability and willingness to allow those that you care for to be what they choose for themselves, without any insistence that they satisfy you. In the process if you are loved too, in return....well that is a beautiful coincidence..you see.

This existence of ours is nothing buy a beautiful symphony of Love, in all the aspects of our lives. It looks like there is nothing other than this transcending expression!

Love is like that golden glow of moonlight which turns a dark spread of night to a golden embrace of blissful tranquility. It is an awareness of light on to the darkness of numb ignorance. Love is a sudden satori, which awakens us from a deep slumber. Love is that primordial consciousness from which is seeded the eternal bliss that can be experienced by flora and fauna, animate and inanimate.

Having said that, it is of prime importance to really appreciate that Love is not fully realized and understood if and only if the last part of the definition mentioned in the beginning of the article is well realized.
Love is a stream of natural flow. All the flows of nature - streams, waterfall, wind, etc all flow in one direction. So is Love. By nature Love is whole and complete one way - from the giver to the receiver - from the lover to the beloved.

Love is a priced privilege of humanity to be able to conceive even what this wonderful feeling of love is all about. Love as a feeling is present in its primitive form in the life of all living forms. But as humans we are really blessed to be in a position to be able to experience Love in a much more profound way. We are the only living forms who can even comprehend what is known as "Unconditional Love". Love reaches its highest state only when it is unconditional. Infact by definition true love is unconditional. Anything that one gets in return is mere coincidence.

A lover rejoices at this privilege that he is ordained with by that nature. His ambition is all about Loving his beloved. He is just concerned about experiencing more and more fully that feeling of love, and its expression. He finds his bliss just by being in that blissful state of love for his beloved. Well..if the beloved smiles back...it is just a coincidence. It has nothing to do with his state of being in love..you see. Love is not an action that by Newtons 3rd law has to have an equal and opposite reciprocation. Love is just a state of being.

To bring out an analogy with love, I would say being in love is like bitting that chocolate dipped strawberry. You take it in your mouth, close your eyes, and just cherish the taste. You cherish its texture, go deep on how it feels on your tongue. You cherish how its smells, and then there is a deep orgasm of satisfaction that waves through your heart and body. You are one with the chocolate dipped strawberry. In this state of oneness with the chocolate dipped strawberry, you do not exist as a separate identity. You are one with the feeling of love. Don't you feel the absurdity of you expecting anything more than this bliss? Do you really expect something in return from anyone else in this moment of bliss? Well...having seen my love for the chocolate dipped strawberry if the vendor offers me another for free....that is a mere coincidence.

This chemistry between the lover and the beloved can be transcended to anything and everything that exists in our lives. You can be a lover of art, work, country, a hobby, an idea, a scenery, God anything and everything. In all these relationships we as humans are the only entities in creation who are blessed with the opportunity to experience the state of pure love. Explore this - can you be in the state of profound love while at your work? Being one with the work you are doing. Enjoying the presence of you and your work, and being one with that. Exactly the same way as the state of love you were in while enjoying that chocolate dipped strawberry. The only thing that you are concerned is just being in that sate of giving your best self to your beloved - and being in the state of absolute oneness with her - your work.

See - the actual nature of work is insignificant here. It might be coding, entering metrics in spreadsheet, mopping the floor, or trimming the garden. Work is just a medium - the beloved - with whom you are being in love. Love as a state can be experience in the same richness with any of these mediums.
I feel this is what was hinted in Geeta, where Krishna suggests to do karma without an expectation of the result. An expectation of anything in return looks out of context, when what we are focussed on is the process of doing the work, and taking out that bliss of being in orgasmic oneness with our beloved. After that lovemaking is done, the whole act is whole an complete. What is the consequence of the work is actually out of context. That is what was not the main focus you see...

Now, you might obviously question that if the main focus was not the result, then why will you every start doing any work. After all we do anything to be able to get something in return.
I agree with you. Certainly we do anything and everything for a purpose, for a desire, to achieve something. I am just disagreeing to the fact that main purpose of doing anything is cherishing the process - in being able to play - in being able to give - in being able to be in action and grow in the process - in being able to feel that passion and orgasmic oneness totally involved in the process. What we get out of the process, when the process ends is actually not our main focus. It might be a hindsight expectation...like we expect that it might rain today..and if it rains good..we like it..and if it doesnt..we take it in our stride.

Life is about playing the symphony of love, every moment. It is our opportunity to be able to create this symphony with individual notes of Love and Passion. Life is about forgetting oneself being in total oneness, being in love with individual notes, one by one synchronizing together to form a beautiful Symphony. Being able to create a beautiful Symphony is life well lived. Now..if the audience accolades the effort...well that is just a coincidence...that was not the focus ever...

Every day is a beautiful opportunity to be in Love from the first moment of getting up in the morning to the last moment retiring to the bed at night. Being surrounded by the insignificance of the everyday mundane reality of ordinary things, we can nevertheless experience the bliss of being in love, and playing out the Symphony of Love. It just requires a bit more awareness, the right perspective and a willingness to create something beautiful, and enjoy life.

Lets not allow life to fizzle out being numb and wasted by our obsession with what we will get back in return. Life is all about being in love. Live is all about action. Life is earnest. Life is real. Life is about being one in love. Life is all about enjoyment. Life is a perpetual state of oneness with the beloved, experiencing the never ending orgasm.

Start Living....create the symphony of Love...
